The 3D BumpMap tool can create an interesting textured, 3D lit surface to your photos.

Merge

When selected, merges both the original photo and the bumpmap effect into one image.

Lights (add/delete light)

Here you can add and delete light sources. Then select from the drop down list to select which light source you wish to edit. All settings below are individual to each light.

Light type:

Allows you to change the type of light. You can then change the light settings using the settings below, or by dragging on the image. Directional is a light that encompasses the image, and you can change from where it is shining. Point is like a single light shining down on the image, and it cannot be angled. Spotlight is a much more focused light than directional, and unlike point you can change the light source angle. Invert will make shadowed areas light, and vice versa.

Color

Click the square to change the color of the light.

Intensity

Alter the brightness of the light.

Position

You can move the light source by dragging on the position square or entering X–Y co-ordinates. When used within XPE, you can drag on the image itself.

Scale

Change the depth and strength of the bumpmap effect.

Angle

Change the light source's angle.

Elevation

Change the elevation of the light source.

Width

Change the width of the light beam.

Blur

Blur the light source.

Height

Change the height of the light source.
